LAUS 03commissioner: Jurat Laus 03ADG-FAD is an association of visual communication professionals, comprising graphic designers and art directors. Founded in 1961, since then ADG-FAD has worked to reveal and interpret the mechanisms that define our profession. ADG-FAD’s functions are, in addition to defending the interests of its members, to promote and represent internationally graphic design and visual communication. With these aims in mind, ADG-FAD was a founding member of the Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) and of the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (ICOGRADA). ADG-FAD represents directly its more than seven hundred members (students and professionals) and indirectly the entire profession, which gathers annually for the Laus Awards. In fact, ADG-FAD sees the Laus as the climax of its activities, insofar as they provide a means of monitoring the changes in our sector and the occasion for deciphering and understanding why such changes come about. The LAUS Awards have fulfilled its 33 edition in the year 2003, and those works that they have highlighted, maybe thanks to knowing how to remount vicissitudes or simply exercising our profession the most coherent possible, have been rewarded. The jury, with its demand, has converted the Laus Trophy into a merit. The lath is every time higher, and this fact provokes that the quality of the rewarded works is every time superior. The jury was composed by: -Graphic Design Mónica Mestanza Wim Crouwel Daniel Ayuso Marieke Stolk Matias Augustyaniak Michael Amzalag Ole Lund Andreu Balius -Graphic Advertising Uschi Henkes Turi Tolleson Fernando Planelles Tyler Brűlé Manuel Outumuro -Institutional Graphics and Comunication Toni Puig Antoni Fernández Jesús Díez Lobo Sonia Sánchez Pilar Górriz Pepe Gimeno Javier Iglesias Pablo Iglesias |
