What it does?The Fundación Comunicación Gráfica works in projects that they have as purpose the file and the classification of the materials related with the graphic design and the visual communication, to give impulse to its cataloguing, conservation and exhibition.
Once the actuation area concerning to the information collection are defined, the experts of the FCG locate the interesting graphic legacy and proceed to its cataloguing according to the established processes.
These parts settle at present in the National Archive of Catalonia, collaborative public entity of the Foundation, that guarantees his optimum conservation. Likewise, in the web www.lafundacio.org can be visited the fund and the virtual exhibitions on the file of the FCG.
Besides working actively in the creation of the Area of the Graphic Design and the Visual Communication of the Center of Design in Barcelona, the FCG commits explicitly with the study of the graphic legacy and supports projects of research related to the graphic design and the visual communication. A collection of periodicals of theoretical and visual contents give space to the intellectual production in both areas of the communication. |
